How did the month go?

Unless you have been living under a rock on Mars you will know the Covid-19 issues and the lock downs most countries have experienced. We were lucky in the UK to still be allowed out to exercise everyday so I have been using this time to really throw myself in to long distance running with a Total Training Volume plan adapted from Bryon Powell’s book Relentless forward progress.

Aiming to get steady progress per week on both road and trail this was a good month distance wise and with some nice weather ended up having some lovely runs – apart from being chased out of a field by a group of very inquisitive cows as pictured above!

Deciding everything was going great I put some speed work in to my weeks and promptly got a lot of shin pain in my right leg 🙁

As this is the beginning of the plan I don’t want to let this go on and be a running (see the pun there!) trend so I am going to do some detailed analysis as to what is going on.

Now go on, just f’ing run!

******Update*******

I have figured out I run like an idiot and need to fix my foot strike – article about it here
